Alt title: SC Lowpop

Mainly making this thread as a place to gather my thoughts and document progression. Things will be removed/added as needed. This post will always be under some sort of editing. This post will not be complete and cover everything - It's literally just a scratchpad for me.



OBJECTIVE:
  • A predominantly planetside map that utilizes the current planetside features of Southern Cross. Decreased job count but access for those decreased jobs increased (eg: merge atmos tech and engineer but give replacement access to everything atmos/engineering). The majority of the playerbase would be planetside. Increased number of pilot LZs to facilitate transport between zones (wilderness, main outpost, mines, space docks). Consider utilizing something space-station for hazardous research (toxins?) and for EVAC purposes.

    Debating everything be its own little hut requiring a walk in the snow or to have it all be connected by a central hallway.


WORKING BACKSTORY:
  • Successful mining operation. Good shit to dig up. People can live here. Commute to SC as needed. Much air, very good.

Med without chemistry is gonna be hell; maybe a one-dispenser chem lab in there somewhere?

A smaller map to better accomodate low population might be a good idea but i have a couple of questions:
Is this dead?
If not did devs approve of the project?
If they did, do you need help mapping?

i hate this if only because the eastern ridge isn't a constellation or asterism ala northern star, southern cross, or some of the other small NT stations I've thrown out (Cynosure, Aquarius)
