Re: New Healthalyzer Sprites?

Increased contrast definitely helps make it feel larger, less like a brick and more like a tablet. Buttons and antenna are also a nice touch to make it less of a departure, and they look well done besides. Ater gives +1

New Healthalyzer Sprites?

A PR was put up yesterday to resprite the various levels of healthalyzer. I personally think they're nice sprites, but am not sure how well they'd fit with the general visual style of the rest of medical's equipment: Animated! In-round Please discuss. Oh, and a quick disclaimer, unless there's super...

Re: Security Resprites?

As discussed at the 21-Jul-19 staff meeting, we are interested in these. Can you possibly put the human dolls on top of grey tiles to get a better sense of how they'd look in-game? There were some concerns voiced about a lack of visual distinctiveness, that is to say, you can't easily tell them apar...

Re: [Discussion] Planetside Shuttles, Pilots

And especially in regards to explorers, it's really quite a bit more than that, because they then have to go back out to wherever they were exploring in most cases. So you spend 5-10 minutes hiking back to the outpost, 5-10 minutes taking a shuttle, however much time you need to spend on station, an...

Re: [Discussion] Planetside Shuttles, Pilots

This is particularly in relation to the time explorers would have to spend to make a trip to the station, which is currently one of the largest obstacles to them actually doing so on a regular basis, to provide a bit more context.

Re: Spacesuit pressure limits, what's reasonable?

So like, closer to 0.1-0.2 atmospheres lower bound? They still won't provide any protection against 0kPa (i.e., space tiles) unless the lower bound is set to 0, because protection falls off based on percentage.

Spacesuit pressure limits, what's reasonable?

In https://github.com/PolarisSS13/Polaris/pull/5776 , I've added pressure limits to clothing, notably space suits and the firefighter's suit, where they only provide protection within certain pressure ranges. This resolves the issue of firesuits being spaceproof, but introduces the balance discussio...

Re: Concept: Synthetic Drinks

It'd probably require implementing a synthetic stomach that handles those effects directly because synths don't have blood, or something to that effect. Giving synths blood (mechanically speaking, fluff it as oil or some shit) would require going through EVERY non-synth reagent to make them ignore s...
