Re: [Discussion] Full Tile Windows

I second Zeke's opinion, we don't need to make it harder to get onto the station from the outside undetected. That's already a fairly tedious part of antagging.

Also I personally find the dual-pane windows more aesthetically pleasing.

Re: Self-surgery?

While I think that self-surgery is a cool idea in theory, and it is at least vaguely plausible in real life as evidenced by a couple of successful auto-appendectomies, in practice I'm afraid that this would have a detrimental effect on the game as a whole. I'm having trouble thinking of a consequenc...

Re: Reinstate Multisurgery

Faster surgery should be achieved by improved tools from R&D, if anything, and I don't feel like the process is particularly slow. I understand your other objections even if I disagree with them personally. I genuinely don't understand the mindset behind this. Do you think that player skill shouldn...

Reinstate Multisurgery

On January 21st, a longstanding glitch pertaining to surgery was removed via this PR. https://github.com/PolarisSS13/Polaris/pull/4593 The glitch enabled a surgeon to complete surgical steps on different parts of the body simultaneously, assuming that these steps used the same implement. For example...

Re: Advanced First Aid Kits for Doctors

If you succeed in making trauma/burn kits limited or cargo-dependent, all that does is increase Medical's reliance on chemistry, cryo, and sleepers to heal people. Cryo and sleepers are wholly uninteractive, and chemistry is already overcentralizing compared to any other aspect of Medical. Even if t...

Re: Robot Emag RNG

Emagging a borg means you're guaranteed to be taking a player out of the round, like it or not. Their laws from that point are not alterable, and the only solution is kill the borg and rip its brain out, which is not possible without a roboticist. It sounds like you're objecting to the notion of pe...

Re: Remove Hail

Implementing umbrellas, making simple mobs immune, and potentially altering the fact that hailstorms have a decent chance to last an entire round would solve 90% of my issues with this weather. I'm okay with this.

Re: Remove Hail

Hail can last for over an hour in my personal observation, so waiting it out isn't really an option unless you like having half your round eaten. Hail only happens five to ten percent of the time if I'm reading the github weather stuff correctly, but making it rarer doesn't make it any less shitty w...

Remove Hail

Hail weather on Sif is a detriment to gameplay for the following reasons. 1. FBP/cyborg attrition. Prometheans (already the best species mechanically, for Explorer) can shrug off the periodic brute damage, and organics can patch themselves up with gauze and heal it off, but cyborgs and FBPs have no ...

Re: Robot Emag RNG

Support because I've blown an entire emag's worth of charges on one borg, with the cover open, and failed them all. (Fortunately he was a good sport about it and gave me time to buy a second emag and corrupt him with that, but jeez, what a nightmare.)
