Re: [Discussion] BrainMed

Personally, I don't find chemistry fun. It's pushing buttons and reading a wiki guide. Personally, I find the Baymed system to be far less daunting than the current one. I was able to jump into it with very very minimal wiki-skimming and referencing back, and jump in successfully. While the current ...

Re: On the removal or significant alteration of Prometheans.

From my understanding, the current changes are: Make Security weapons work on prommies. (This is good) Makes drinks and alcohol bad for prommies. (In line with lore, dis is good.) Made meds give prommies side effects. (This does nothing, because nobody gives prommies medicine. They don't need it due...

Re: On the removal or significant alteration of Prometheans.

Doesn't really satisfy my own but it's a step in the right direction, certainly.

Re: On the removal or significant alteration of Prometheans.

Mechanically, they can be absolutely destroyed in any number of ways. Like any other species, they're resistant to some stuff, vulnerable to other stuff. Just don't be stupid and use the stuff they're vulnerable to and you'll massacre any promethean. Except this isn't true, so far as I can recall a...

Re: On the removal or significant alteration of Prometheans.

I'd argue the difference between fighting an FBP without ions and fighting a prommie without specialized anti-prommie gear is that an FBP is still succeptable to bullets, beatings, etc, while prommies basically have racial armor against those things. Stacked on top of whatever armor they're already ...

Re: On the removal or significant alteration of Prometheans.

A single protein shake (containing 25u water) deals 125 Toxin damage and puts a Promethean into ache-crit, which can be stopped by another protein shake which would bring damage up to 250 Toxin damage, which - from testing - seems to cap at 200, leaving a Promethean in hard-crit and without regener...

On the removal or significant alteration of Prometheans.

So. Prommies have been around for a while now. Myself, along with several others, aren't all too jazzed by their inclusion in the game; what was likely intended to be a cool new alien race is in fact alien in very few ways aside from non-human mechanics. The mechanics themselves are suspect; they sh...

Re: [FEEDBACK] April 7 "Boiling Point Terror Attack" Feedback Thread

I liked it. It was intense, there was conflict among the crew and the antags on multiple sides, it was engaging and fun. +1, would ride the train again.

Re: Recapitation Defibrillation

I can see the arguments on both sides so I'm posting my stance as a despicable neutral on this one. I'll tell your wife you said... hello. On the topic of 'don't make the surgery too hard,' it shouldn't exactly be easy mode, but don't even the most complex surgical steps take ~10 seconds to complet...
